  • Charlie Hedges: Rotary Foundation update; we are still $700 short of our annual goal.
  • Our annual Rotary Picnic has been rescheduled to 06/22/17 at the same location, Bill Richards' farm (24537 Canal Rd., Circleville).  Social hour begins at 5PM; dinner at 6PM.  Each family is asked to bring a side dish or dessert, and table service.  Club will provide meats & drinks.
  • Ian Webb: Our next Rotary After Hours will be on 06/28/17, from 5-7PM, at Gibby's Eatery & Sports Bar.
  • Gary Montgomery: The next Community Kitchen will be on 06/26/17 at the Presbyterian Church.  Food prep begins at 3PM, with the meals served at 5PM.  Volunteers are always welcome & much appreciated!
  • Carly Neff: 2nd annual Bark & Wine fundraiser will be on 06/23/17, from 6-8PM at Rhoads Garden Center.  Proceeds will benefit the Pickaway County Dog Shelter.  Tickets are $30/person & $50/couple, on sale at Rhoads and online at www.Eventbrite.com.  Donations will be accepted as well.
  • Our Rotary club is sponsoring the Friday in the Park event on 06/30/17 from 10AM - 11:30AM.  We are in desperate need of volunteers, so please contact Drex or Pres. Chris if you're able to help!
  • Via flyer: The 2017 Lancaster Festival will be July 19th - 29th.  Details can be found at www.LancasterFestival.org.
  • Via e-mail: Gary Dean submitted a brief summary regarding the 2017 Rotary International Convention:
    • "The 2017 Rotary International Convention was held in Atlanta, Georgia, with 42,100 members from 174 countries attending.  The main focus was continuing the many projects funded by the Rotary Foundation including Polio Plus, the polio eradication project.  Rotary is headed toward the finish line in this successful project.  It was reported that there are only 10 cases of polio worldwide.  The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has agreed to extend and increase their financial commitment to stamping out polio, and will match Rotary's donations on a two-for-one basis over the next two years in order to raise $6 million.  Attending the convention from Circleville were Gary Dean (President-elect Circleville Rotary Club), Stan Summers (President of Circleville Sunrise Rotary), Gwen Wolford, & Mary Jane Dean.

  1. Jenny Rainey has submitted her membership paperwork.  She is employed at The Savings Bank, and lives in Ashville.  Dolly Crespo is her Rotary sponsor. 
  2. David Crawford has also submitted his membership forms.  David retired from The Ohio State University's Medical Center, and currently serves as Circleville's City Council President.  He is actively involved in beekeeping.  Please direct any questions/comments regarding these proposals to Drexel Poling.
