NEW MEMBER approved by the board: Taylor Gibson has been approved for membership. She is a local insurance sales agency for Lynn Farmer’s Insurance and is sponsored by her mother, Brenna!   Her induction will be scheduled.  Taylor will be attending Rural Urban Day, so please stop and welcomed her.

Announcements: 

  • Rural Urban Day: Feb. 27th – 11:30am start time.
  • 3rd Euchre tournament last night – 40 players. $2,160 profit! Word got out using Rhoads’ big sign out front – Thank You Carly and all those sponsors and members who donated.
  • Thank you for contributions to Soap-N-Hope and Community Cupboard. Soap-N-Hope presentation tentative March 13th.
  • Community Kitchen – Monday, Feb. 24th
  • March 15th – The House Band will perform at Rhoadhouse 56 6-9pm. Fundraiser for Mid-Ohio Food Collective. There will be a food truck!  Rhoadsgardencenter.com for tickets.
  • Music in the Round – March 1st at the Greek Church in Short North. Rotary members get 10% discount. Heidi to forward link.
  • 4 way speech contest – only 2 people registered so far. 10:30am at the Library for volunteers. Please spread the word to any high schoolers.
  • Last Sat. in April – Parkinson’s walk

  • Feb. 20, 1962 the board voted to continue serving MILK at lunch
  • The duck is 40 years old – pay the duck $1 if you “duck” out of the meeting early
  • We have been serving the Community Kitchen for 20 years
  • The Big Wheel Race began in 1977
  • Hosting students at meetings started 87 years ago
