Program: Linda Knisley and Lynn Huston – Helping Hands in the Garden

  • Support cancer patients in Pickaway County
  • Started in Franklin county by breast cancer survivors in 2009 and it’s  in the first year for Pickaway Co.
  • Volunteer organization to provide plants, materials and volunteer help
  • If you enjoy gardening and would like to volunteer, always looking for help
  • PCCF grant recipient last year to help with start up funds
  • Self-referral form – do need physician form noting they are recovering from a cancer diagnosis. Nothing more than that needed.
  • Meet with patient and ask for they would like, from plants in the front yard to just a pot of flowers they can see outside their window
