- Happy Dollar: Dave Webb presented Bob Liggett a “lucky” buckeye. When this presentation is made, doc wins the weigh in (and there is a promising candidate in the field, so stay tuned!)
Scholarship Drawing: Rick Rawlins won the weekly drawing for $22. Big Bean pot has started over at $108, and continues to grow!
Program: The Covering: Ashley Patton & Lindsey Henderson
- Currently have 3 houses: One in Circleville, Two in Chillicothe
- Started with a 13 bedroom home and four months later a Chillicothe home was donated
- Any women in community that are open to learning about the Lord and changing their lives are welcome – first step is the residential house in Chillicothe for 12 month program
- Women pay their way through working
- Transitional “The Big House” prepares the women to learn about family and they can have their children live with them
- Community is taught to women and children who might never have had love and community in their lives
- Logan Elm school district for the children
- Transition program is an open-ended program. The women don’t leave until they are financially solid and spiritually sound.
- Ashley invites us to The Big House in Circleville for a tour to see what making a difference in people’s lives looks like
- Women will go out and serve in the community, cleaning churches, sort clothes at clothing centers.
- Every Monday, women minister at Franklin and Fairfield county jails
- How can community help The Covering? Prayer, monetary donation, 18 people in the big house so toilet paper, paper plates, trash bags, etc. are always welcome.
- The Covering does have a waiting list and is in need of another house
