Club Announcements:
- PICCA: Jonna Motter let us know over 60 showers last month with only 2 days open a week – Soap-N-Hope is busy. Hope House can use it as well as people in cars and houses without water. No federal funding runs the Soap-N-Hope trailer, so they rely on the community. We presented a $2,000 check and laundry items we have collected.
- District Conference – April 24-25th at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris. Weekend with Rotarians across our district – connect to see if we can collaborate or maybe you will bring back ideas to help our community. Www.rotary6690.com. $225 for Friday and Saturday sessions. $75 for dinners alone.
- Please pay your dues to Daryl – we look forward to everyone returning for another year!
- Scouting Mayor’s Breakfast – Thursday, May 7th, 7:30am, Emmett Chapel on Tarlton Rd. Honorees will be Randy Beach and Ohio Christian University. See Joe McNemar to sign up. $50 per person or sponsorships available.
- Bill Stout Memorial Cinco De Mayo celebration: Jackie Rays – 5:00pm-8:00pm on May 11th. $20. Sign-up will start next week.

- 29 Crew members and all perished and none were recovered, six were planning to retire. The ship bell was only thing recovered

Program: Special Olympics presentation with Heather Foll and Amber Wickstrom
- Special Olympics was started by Eunice Kennedy in 1962 in her backyard
- Eligibility in Pickaway Co Special Olympics is 8 years old (up to 60+ currently)
- Offering a variety of sports: Golf, Basketball, Softball, Track & Field, Powerlifting
- 5.5 million athletes around the world with over 100 countries participate
- Partner opportunities – if you golf, you can be connected with an athlete who you will golf with every week at Crown Hill and have the opportunity to go to regionals and state
- Heather can accept good used equipment for the athletes
