Club Announcements:  

  1. Thank you to Jim Rogers for serving our club as our Assistant Governor for four years. His support is being recognized with a $500 donation to PolioPlus on July 1st. Jim’s first day as District PolioPlus Chairman.
  2. Gary’s 80th birthday party at Rhoadhouse 56, July 12th – if you would like to attend – contact Sandy
  3. Taylor Gibson invites everyone to Farmer’s Insurance Ribbon Cutting, June 24th at Noon – 430 N.Court St.
  4. Larry Logan announced Ted Lewis Park is still seeking donations for the shelter house
  5. No meeting July 3rd – Rob’s first official act is to cancel a meeting

Program: President R.D. Saunders from Ohio Christian University

  • Service is what everyone is called to do, not just as president of OCU, but as a member of a community
  • A university should teach how to learn throughout your life, have a 40 year outlook for a student, not just 4 years
  • Campus cafeteria during the school year – please come and enjoy
  • Nursing students will be added this coming year with a focus on keeping students in the rural area
  • Control the temperature of the room you are in by controlling your temperature: 1. Be Grateful 2. Belief 3. Serve
