Club Announcements:  

  1. Root beer tub for donations is now posted on the check in table
  2. Community Kitchen – 171 meals prepared. On hand were Bob McCrady, Gary & Sandy Montgomery, Warren Spangler, Joe McNemar, Bob Foster, David & Marie Crawford. Alice Harker ran the show. (Sandy made zucchini bread and berry crisp)
  3. Congratulations to Ellery Elick on his retirement! 22years as treasurer
  4. Club has currently collected $1,790 from members for the “Gift of Hope” boxes! That will be added to our club’s donation.
  5. Circleville Sunrise is going to be a sponsor with us for the Turkey Trot so look for our name on ads and on back of t-shirts!
  6. Pumpkin show schedule is out next week!!!

Program: Pickaway Co. Board Developmental Disability – early intervention. Aimee Roberts

  • Early intervention is a statewide system for children who have development delays up to age of 3 (walking, talking, diagnoses including autism, cerebral palsy, etc.)
  • Services are in every county of the state
  • 90% of brain development before 3 years old
  • Referral is made to early intervention – anyone can refer in, doctors, parents, etc.
  • Goal is to go into child’s home to coach families
  • No cost to family and not income based service
  • Currently have 80 kids in service with 45 still registering
