We welcome Jason Farris into membership. Grew up in Orrville and is a Logan Elm grad. Ohio Air National Guard as computer operator. Recently a real estate agent. He was sponsored by Stacy Young.

- New member today focus on Kevin Driesbach – 250th Camp Charlotte Treaty anniversary Oct. 15th. Kevin is active in the SAR.
- Bob Sneed Happy Dollar – just returned from Colorado Springs – golf outing for Folds of Honor. Supporting scholarships for families of America’s fallen or disabled military.

Scholarship Drawing: Someone won the weekly drawing for $16. Big Bean pot has started over at $162, and continues to grow!

- Reuse plastic bags into items for the homeless: Sleep mats and pillows
- Can be washed with a hose
- Ages 8-85 are part of the group
- Sept. 2022 started the group
- Homelessness has many reasons
- Someone donated gloves and hats and someone donated money, that started the outreach
- They have broken up care packages between summer and winter
- When the mats are done – they are dropped off at agencies for distribution: PICCA, Foundation Shelter, Stowe Mission
- 90 mats have been completed to date
- Demonstration on how to make the start of a mat
- Crocheters will take the starts and them complete the pillows and mats
- Anyone interested, bags are always needed (flatten them out), help with the workshops – Third Thursday of the month 10:30am at the church
- 6-10 hours to crochet a mat
- 800 bags to make one mat
- 3ft wide; 10 ft long
