  • Sept 20th – Haven House fundraiser. Fish Fry on Island Rd. 11am-1pm Volunteers are needed.
  • Sept 26th – Rotary After Hours at Rhoadhouse 56- 5:30pm-dinner with Superintendent’s short presentations
  • Jayme Fountain – presented PHF +8 to David Crawford
  • President Jan Shannon – football squares offered with income going toward benches for downtown

Scholarship Drawing:  someone won the weekly drawing for $96. Big Bean pot has started over at $181, and continues to grow!

Program:  Sheriff Matthew Haffey

  • Partnership is mission of the sheriff’s office – people who has been here and are just moving in
  • Updates with operations and personnel 
  • Chase Bergoon introduced Randy the therapy dog
  • Chase and Randy completed the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office training program
  • They go to schools and senior housing facilities as well as crime scene assistance
  • Therapy dogs help with stress and anxiety
  • Randy was donated to Pickaway County and named after Randy Davis, who passed away last year
  • Sheriff’s department received 32,000 calls in 2023, up 12 thousand from the year prior and at 26,000 year to date, on track to surpass again
