Program:  Ken Green from Pickaway Co. 100 Plus Men Who Care

  • Two years ago the group started – following have been non-profit winners: Box 65; Arts Around; Community Cupboard; Hope House; Christian Camp for Youth; Roundtown As One; Friends of Ted Lewis; The Covering; Pickaway Addiction Action Coalition
  • Organization meets twice a year, select non-profit who serve Pickaway Co. and winner of three presentations receives $100 from members directly
  • No officers, no dues, no committees, fundraising events are the two meetings and checks are made directly to the winning organization
  • Rhoadhouse 56 donates their facility for meetings, so no overhead
  • Member signs up with contact information, and agrees to make out two $100 checks a year. You also agree the organization chosen by those in attendance vote with written ballot wins. Following the vote, three more groups are chosen out of a hat to present
  • If an organization wins, their name is removed from the hat for two years. The  winners make a presentation explaining the way funds were used at the next meeting
  • Currently at 60 members, the groups name is 100+ men so please reach out if you would like to join up or come to the next meeting – Feb. 19th – 6pm at Rhoadhouse 56

  • Bill thanked our club for our efforts over the years – Last year’s foundation giving of $11,519 to the annual fund and $5735 to Polio Plus turned into $17,206 because of the gates foundation 2-1 match of Polio dollars
  • 28,677 children can live polio free because of just our club efforts
  • We have 17 – members donating to the 125 club
  • Our clubs history has 45 Paul Harris Fellows
  • We currently have 6 members in the Paul Harris Society – signing up to pledge $1,000 each year
  • Once a Major Donor – you are remembered at events even after you pass as was shown in Bill’s presentation, remembering Dannie Fouts, Susanne Phillips and Jim Rivers as Level 1 Donors. He thanked Charlie and Mollie Hedges and Dick Patrick as Level 2 Donors
  • David and Marie have added the Foundation in their wills and are recognized as Bequest Society Members
  • Charity Navigator has awarded their highest 4 star award to the RI Foundation for the last 17 consecutive years

  • 2025 – 1.6 million diapers distributed through Bottoms Up
  • Potty training kits also being delivered to child care partners to help the development of children
  • Pickaway Co – 26,000 diapers distributed last year to Haven House, Community Cupboard & Food Pantry
  • May – World’s Largest Diaper Drive. (Sunrise collects – 20,000-25,000 diapers, we should join them)

  • In last 40 years with $2.1 Billion and countless volunteer hours – Rotary has been a part of preventing over 16 million cases of polio
  • $1 Billion annually is needed to vaccinate 370 million children
  • Ways to get involved are Polio Plus Society-pledging $100/year; 125 Club (we have 16 members currently) donation $100 Foundation and $25 Polio Plus
  • District thanks Circleville Rotary for last year’s contribution of over $5,700 which equates to 28,679 children vaccinated
