  • Jayme Fountain: We are nearing the end of Price Finley’s Distrist Governor year and his goal is 1,500 people participating in Club 125. If you have not donated, please see the link on our website: CirclevilleRotary.org. One hundred dollars goes to the Rotary Annual Fund (which is the arm of the foundation that awards grant money) and $25 to Polio Plus to help eradicate the disease from the world.
  • Carly Neff: New Fundraiser – June 1st – Euchere Tournament. More details to come. Donations of new playing cards (wrapped) are being taken.
  • $432 collected by passing the hat for the Rolling Fork Rotary Club members impacted by the Mississippi tornado. If you would like to give mail a check made out to : District 6820 Foundation – Disaster Relief Fund. 131 Fox Run Rd, Canton, MS 39046-9633.

Program: Terry Klinker, Colonel of US Army Corps of Engineers, Professor of OSU Business Analytics and former Thompson employee

  • Talking about US Army Engineers would go to different South American countries to build schools, parks, medical support, water, etc. and it is also a training exercise for the unit
  • Building partnerships with countries that have drug trafficking
  • Army, Navy, National Guard, Marines, Reservists – two week rotations
  • Poverty level was high and they were able to bring hope
  • Honduras – brought dentists, doctors and veterinarians (vaccinating the animals which people eventually consume)
  • This program started in 1987, stopped by COVID and hope to be starting again
