  • Women’s Products March Madness collection . Thank you Paula Routt for being our chair and Michelle Stevenson for assisting. We will report the total products collected at next week’s meeting and will find out at the District Conference, next weekend, if we won!
  • Service Above Self (non-Rotarian)- May 13th is due date for applications. June 27th the award will be presented. Email Michelle Lanman ([email protected]) for application
  • Extra Bonus Community Kitchen: Current Bonus kitchen is Second Monday of odd number month. We have been asked to cover the First Monday of even months – our Extra Bonus kitchen.   • Board meeting Tuesday at 11:30am

Scholarship Drawing:  Ty Ankrom was the winner of $28 which was donated to the women’s products campaign! The jackpot is $733 and it will continue to grow!

 Program:  Logan Hittle, Director of NIL for Ohio State

  • Zanesville native who went from janitor of Woody Hayes facility to walk on for the football team, to graduate and now Director in the Athletics department!
  • July 1, 2021 first time ever student-athletes could receive monetary benefits
  • Ohio State NIL Athletics department developed under Gene Smith’s leadership. Gene is a frequent advisor to other schools about the topic.
  • State Law allows universities to restrict certain categories (alcohol, gambling, tobacco, etc.)
  • Student-athletes must disclose arrangements prior to activity
  • Allows student-athletes to hire marketing representation
  • NIL activities cannot take place during official team activities
  • NCAA provides updates to all the guidelines frequently and state laws also apply
  • NIL is opportunity for student-athletes to understand how to run a business
  • OSU provides education on tax implications, contract education, etc.
  • NIL staff partners with Moritz College of Law to provide legal advice on contracts to student-athletes since the NIL department is prohibited from doing so
  • Ohio State has 1,100 athletes
