Club Announcements:  

  1. Bonus Community Kitchen Monday night 4:00-5:30’ish
  2. Zone Conference – Sept. 4-6. Craig is personally inviting us all to attend the FUN event in Columbus at the downtown Hyatt Regency. Hopefully will have 600 Rotarian from over 13 states at the conference. The service project will be packing over 60,000 meals which will be staying in our zones. Saturday evening event is Dueling Piano PolioPlus fundraiser. $150 is cost for Saturday only.  Sign up on rotary6690.org, or see Marie for assistance.
  3. Thank you John Lambert for hosting the Chamber After Hours at Atomic Credit Union
  4. Warren visited Rotary Club in Wisconsin. If you are traveling, check out rotary.org – top line is Club Finder – you are welcome at ANY meeting around the world.
  5. Connie Chamberlain introduced one of our scholarship winners: Brenna Carothers from Teays Valley going to Columbus State to become a radiologist. Have a great year Brenna!

Program: District Governor Sandy Knoesel introduced by AG David M. Crawford

  • RI President Francesco Arezzo from Italy said “Yes” when asked to forgo the two year training of a RI president and stepped in to lead
  • His Priorities: Membership growth and engagement; Eradicating Polio; Peace
  • Upcoming District Events :
  • Papa Boo’s at Buckeye Lake July 12th. $50 and can order anything off the menu for free (cost picked up by Papa Boo’s)
  • September 20th – Hilliard Peace Symposium. Family event 
  • September 25th – Honor Flight welcome home program at the airport
  • Fall Assembly – October 18th: 9am-2pm at Hocking College, Nelsonville
  • November 2nd – District Awards Celebration from last year’s activities
  • April 24-25, 2026 – District Conference at Hilton Polaris
