Club Announcements:  

  1. “Gift of Hope” boxes! Box assembly at Pickaway-Ross is October 21st at 6pm. Our donation will be $5,100 for the cause. Sign-up to help.
  2. Big Wheel Race also coming up fast – Jim Hooks is the race director. Thursday, Oct. 16th, 12:45pm at the Race Track on Pinkney St. for all volunteers

  8. J. Boyd Stout Scholarship fund has been receiving a lot of donations since Bill’s passing. Donors are receiving thank you notes from the club as well as a list will be given to the family

  • Chief Davidson: started in 1997 – chief, 2022: 127 square miles is covered
  • Last 10 years, 70% increase in runs, estimate 20% grown in next 5 years
  • City of Ashville last 5 years, built 550 new homes/apartments and anticipating 1,000 more in next couple years
  • South Bloomfield built 900 homes/apartments in last 5 years
  • Sod farm – west side of 23 is in contract now for 2,000+ homes
  • 23/752 southeast corner – development for something
  • Warehouse district – 18 warehouses today, 11.2 million square feet
  • 762 boudin pierce – 4 million square feet coming of warehouses
  • Intermodal – 24 trains a day come through Ashville at 55 mph. 1500 containers arrive daily. Getting ready to add more.
  • Public safety building is in the works in South Bloomfield. Working with state of Ohio to fund it at old municipal building on Union St. First quarter 2026 decision.
  • 752 and Walnut Creek pike another roundabout
  • 23 will be going over 762 is a couple years away
  • 6700 square feet has been added to the existing firehouse. They have added the 9th firefighter 
  • Ladder and tanker trucks ordered for over $2million
  • Anduril – building drones with over 5million square feet under roof. 4000 employees. 5-7 buildings with each building bigger than Ohio Stadium
  • Chief Thompson: Circleville covers is 6.7 square miles
  • Year to date: 3,715 calls for service. 2,717 EMS and 997 Fire. Total calls YTD up by 40
  • Currently down 2 people and if levy does fail, would be down 7 more people
  • Pickaway Township is part-time paid around the clock, so that has reduced Circleville mutual aid
